The Secret

So Want Saturday- 4

Title: While it Lasts
Series: Sea Breeze #3
Author: Abbi Glines
Release Date: July 31, 2012
  Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.

Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer bailing hay?

Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.

Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.

Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

You know what I am craving now, more of my  Cage. He will most likely end up locked in my basement along with Ryder Yates, Travis Maddox, and a few others.  I already have preordered to have him delivered to my house soon so if anyone sees a large box on the way to Brookhaven  you know what is in it and who's it is. ;)
   I honestly L-O-V-E-D Because of Low  and when I found out how long it was going to be before While it Lasts was going to be published.  Since I love graphics here was me:

  So in other words, I will be stalking Abbi for the next couple of weeks til I get a copy in my hands.  I mean just looking at Cage's back from the cover I am drooling and my brain chanting over and over, kidnap Abbi, kidnap Abbi, you need it now, kidnap Abbi. :P  I'm joking- for the most part- about kidnapping Abbi.

Review of Notes to Self

Notes to Self by Avery Sawyer My rating: 5 of 5 stars Provided  by the author for review. Two climbed up. Two fell down. One woke up. In the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury, Robin Saunders has to relearn who she is and find out what happened the night everything changed. Well written,Laura-Avery-or whatever she would like me to refer to her as, has created a novel worth reading at least once and I will most definatly re-read this one when I am not on such a tight schedule and am trying to review all of the books authors are sending me in a reasonible amount of time. So if you are an author and you have asked me to do a review, give me time, I am a busy gal-most of the time and I wont break my promise it will be reviewed.   So it begin with the night of the accident, Robin and Emily both falling off the roof of the Slingshot.All 30 feet of it.How both of them did not die immediately beats me but o well. So, Robin wakes up in a hospital with VERY little remembrance ...

Stacking the Shelves {150}

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews where we get to share the books we've bought, been gifted, or received for review! Hi! I've finally got a manageable week of books! Just two, and I bought them both. I've gotta slow down or I might be smooshed under all of my books... Or I  could just read faster! :D Purchased: Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas The Fairest of Them All by Cathy Maxwell Who bought more historical romance? Me? Are you surprised at this point?  Books I read this week: It's In His Kiss   by Julia Quinn Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi I'm currently reading: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas So that's been my week! I haven't felt like reading all that much this week, actually. Instead I've been playing The Sims. Oops. I go through spurts where I play a bunch, and then I don't for months. So hopefully this is a short spurt... :) Have a lovely Sunday and a fabulous week!
