The Secret

What Are You Reading On? (1)

What are you reading on is basically what books I plan on reading soon AND coming up reviews I plan on posting since I have been slacking.  It is simular to What are you waiting on? but changed to What are you Reading on?.   So here are the book s that I plan on reading and reviewing.  I may even toss in a few that I plan on reviewing soon.

   Title:What I Didn't Say
  Author: Keary Taylor
 Publisher: Indie
 Published:  April 30th, 2012
Source: Netgalley
Purchase at: Amazon Barnes and Noble
Getting drunk homecoming night your senior year is never a good idea, but Jake Hayes never expected it all to end with a car crash and a t-post embedded in his throat.

His biggest regret about it all? What he never said to Samantha Shay. He's been in love with her for years and never had the guts to tell her. Now it's too late. Because after that night, Jake will never be able to talk again.

When Jake returns to his small island home, population 5,000, he'll have to learn how to deal with being mute. He also finds that his family isn't limited to his six brothers and sisters, that sometimes an entire island is watching out for you. And when he gets the chance to spend more time with Samantha, she'll help him learn that not being able to talk isn’t the worst thing that could ever happen to you. Maybe, if she'll let him, Jake will finally tell her what he didn't say before, even if he can't actually say it.

What am I reading on?
I honestly have never even thought about reading a book where the main character is mute.  Sure, I once upon a time I read several Wattpad books about the main character blind or deaf ,but never mute.  Keary has taken on originality.
Even though I believe- quote I believe not am positive- that this is told from a male POV.  I usually tend to stick to books where the protagonist is a girl in which she tells the story,  So a fresh in take on the male POV is going to be something different for me in the YA Romance world.
Hopefully it won't disappoint because the last Males head I have cracked into was the Fuetnes brothers and everyone who has read the Perfect Chemistry books know that it is hard to beat a Fuetnes.    Also, the cover has caused me to become completely smitten.  It is really next on my to-read list so be looking for the review within the coming week.

Title:  The Boyfriend Thief
Author:  Shana Norris
Publisher: Indie
Published: April 30, 2011
Source: Loaned from Nook Friends
Purchase at:  Amazon  Barnes and Noble
Avery James has her life planned out: this summer she'll work with a humanitarian program in Costa Rica, next year she'll graduate at the top of her class, and after that, college and medical school. Perfect, planned, total order.

The only problem: getting the rest of the money she needs for the trip before the deadline. Hannah Cohen, her biggest competition for the valedictorian title, makes an unexpected offer: If Avery can win over Zac Greeley and make him break up with Hannah before the end of the school year, a check for five hundred dollars is all hers. Faced with the prospect of spending yet another summer working as a giant hot dog, it's an offer Avery can't refuse.

Zac is nothing like Avery expected. Within his chaotic world of midnight slushie runs and spontaneous dance parties, her total order is quickly falling apart while Hannah seems poised to get everything she wants. But just how much is Avery willing to give up for the perfect, planned life?

What am I reading on?

Okay, I have been obsessiving over this book since I saw the cover because guess what- I own the very same shoes.  The thing about those shoes was that I paid 25 cents at a thrift store for them and they are size 7 American Eagle shoes.  Would that not make you drool all over the cover is you had a pair of those shoes?  Okay maybe just a little mouth watering because if you get drool on my nook, I'd have to kill you. :)

Also, the plot sounds really, really, good and reminds me in someways about Geek Girl ,but I can tell you right now from looking at the cover that the girl doesn't have the same fashion sense as Jen.  I just now realized that The Boyfriend Theif and What I Didn't Say have the same release date a year apart.  One was released on April 30, 2011 the other April 30, 2012.  I didn't even plan the books or notice it til I started this post.  So be looking for a review of this one in the near future of this week. :)

Also:
I am so close to 9,000 page views which in my opinion is great although I would like to hit 200 followers also.  So if you are reading this post I would really appreciate it and love you with all the bookish love I have if you would just push Follow this Blog on the side.

So what are YOU reading on, my bookish loves?
