The Secret

Cover of the day: The Brokenhearted by Amelia Kahaney

The Brokenhearted by Amelia Kahaney      What is there NOT to love about this cover?! It has a steampunk feel and it looks creepy! My favorite part is the gadgets. I must admit, I would love to see how they work. And the colors?! Hello creep factor! They added to the creep factor with the tagline, and it makes me love it even more.  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: Cruel Beauty

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge I love the way the rose and the stairs blend together. It took me a moment to realize what it was (I thought it was some sort of metal at first), but then I saw the girl in red running and... yeah, it's made much more sense when I zoomed in :) So what do you think about the cover?

Cover of the Day: Teardrop

Teardrop by Lauren Kate      What I love most about this cover is the amazing color scheme. I think I've said before how much I love purple and blue together. Also, I don't normally love covers with girls in dresses on them, but in this one her dress is made of WATER. Very. Cool. And also very unique. I also love the skyline for the city back in the background. It keeps the girl as the main focus but doesn't make the rest of it boring.  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: Being Sloan Jacobs

Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill I love that this cover has the same "feel" as Lauren's first book. They both have bright colors, fun fonts, city skylines, and couples embracing. I'm sure the story will be just as awesome too! =) Love it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know!

Cover of The Day: Shutdown

Shutdown by Heather Anastasiu Wow. I love the brownish and gold hues in this cover. And the girl model on the cover, facing away from the camera, it's so amazing and gives off a mysterious vibe to the book. The title font is pretty. I love the light shining out of the "O" in the cover. Actually, there is absolutely no down side to this cover and everything about it is perfect What are your thoughts? - Soma

Cover of the Day: How to Love

I like the simplicity of this cover-- the colors all contrast perfectly against each other, and this is a book I would totally grab off of the shelf. So much better than duck faces, right? ;) ~Megan

Cover of the Day: Crash Into You by Katie McGarry

Crash Into You by Katie McGarry      Looking through the comments on Goodreads, this newly released cover is already a favorite amongst the blogging community. Justly so seeing as the cover is indeed gorgeous. Isiah looks super hot and they look so cute cuddling together in the backseat of  the car. I love that we get to see Isiah's sweet side even though we know from previous books that he's kind of a bad by with a soft spot only for one person. I love that this cover shows both his bad side with the tattoos and his sweet side by him holding her. I also love the font and the way the title is set up. It's not covering the two and it is out of the way but set up in a way that still begs for attention. This cover leaves me with no doubt that this will be another emotional and swoony story written by McGarry! So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: All the Truth that's in Me

I absolutely love the creepiness of this cover. Doesn't she look like she's running for her life? Doesn't she look tired, and maybe a little scared? I love the font treatment on this too. What do you think? ~Megan

Cover of the Day: Champion

Champion by Marie Lu Oh yeah, I seriously hope the book is as awesome as its cover! I love this cover mainly because it's symbolic and I'm a big fan for symbolic covers. Whoever did the artwork here is amazing. The colors, the rose, the bullet hole, it's simple, but perfect.

I missed you guys + Cover Love!

Hello Bookish Loves,     It has been two months since I last 'promised' to write constantly.  Have y'all ever just fell out of love with something?   Courtney's Book Nook used to be my passion- and then for a few months I was trying to inspire something that just wasn't there.  So, I just took a break.  No more promising lies about constantly posting.  I was lying to myself, and even more importantly, y'all.  So I took a break- got an amazing boyfriend, and finally, I feel myself fall back into my love.  I think I was pressuring myself too much to hurry up and just put stuff out that I didn't give it the time it deserved.    Now, I have fallen head over heels in love with my beautiful  blog.  And I think it is time it gets the time it deserves to blossom and hopefully reach 200 followers.  It's going to happen mark my words.  So I guess you guys may want to see pictures about my daily life lately, so here it is! ...

Cover of the Day: The House of Hades

The House of Hades by Rick Riordan      This cover was recently released this past week and I am soooooo extremely happy with it! The colors look amazing all swirled together. The silhouettes of Annabeth and Percy are making me nervous as they stumble into the dark with all the bats and scary looking trees. I also like the font the title is in. It may seem a little plain, but I feel that it fits with the busy cover picture.  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: The 5th Wave

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey First off I want to say sorry for skipping my post last Friday. I went to New York for Book Expo America and forgot to schedule a post. My bad =( This week I decided to choose a cover that I saw while at BEA. I picked The 5th Wave, because I've loved the cover ever since I first saw it about a month ago. The strong contrast between yellow and black, the silhouette of the girl/boy? walking out of the trees and into the light. This will probably seem silly but I even like how the TH is inside of the 5 instead of out, it all just works so well. Love it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know!

Cover of The Day: One Tiny Lie

One Tiny Lie by K. A. Tucker I love the hues of the pink and orange on the cover. And the way the leaves fall of and float is amazing. I am not a huge fan of autumn, but this photo and the girl's clothes that match the season is making me LOVE it. I also love the font of the title, it fits and the white contrasts with the photo, so it's perfect What do you think? - Soma
