The Secret

Cover of the Day: All Our Yesterdays

All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill      At first I started to just leave the picture and say "Enough Said," because I feared I wouldn't be able to do this justice. I'm still not sure what all I want to say... I love the dark background and the bright sundial and font. The skyline is another huge reason why I love the cover. It's not something that exactly stands out, but it isn't overlooked either. I also love the font that the title and author's name are in. It's clean and it doesn't take over the rest of the cover. This cover is gorgeous, it would take me all day to say what all I loved about it! So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: The Shade of the Moon

The Shade of the Moon by Susan Beth Pfeffer I really love all the covers in this series. The moon is a big part of it (literally), but I also adore the colors. The blues and the yellows mix nicely. Even the way the title is all lowercase looks amazing.  What do you think?

Cover of the Day: The Book of Broken Hearts

The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler      This cover is gorgeous to me! I love the soft purple in the background and the vibrant yellow flower in the front. The main thing that I love about the cover is the heart formed from the pages in the book.It gives an even more "lovey dovey" feel to it. The simplicity is really what makes this cover! Finally, last but not least, don't you just love the font? I think its beautiful!  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: The Sound

The Sound by Sarah Alderson This cover and I had a love at first sight kind of relationship. I was instantly drawn in by the colors, the teal and pink work gorgeous together! I also really like the transparency that's going on, letting us see the ocean through the girl and fading her out completely in the bottom third of the cover. Love it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments!

Cover Of The Day: Outcast

Outcast  by  Adrienne Kress I absolutely adored this cover the first time I saw it,, and I still do. The dark shades of the blue in the night sky and the moon with the couples' silhouette is fantastic and fits the cover and the title perfectly. Also love the creepy and mysterious feel of it. The title and the author have been given their good space, but the little quote at the top is not really clear, which is a small problem somehow. Don't you think? - Soma

Cover of the Day: Underneath

Can I die of the awesome yet? I love the font, and the faded tones of the cover make is just look so creepy and surreal. I love the people outlines, and the way it looks like they're all falling. And is she in the sky? o.O

Cover of the Day: Of Triton by Anna Banks

Of Triton by Anna Banks      In honor of summer fast approaching, I decided to feature a nice summer read as my cover of the day. This week I've chosen Of Triton! I love the shimmery blue color; it looks like real water. Then there's the kissing couple smack in the middle, can you say super cute?! lastly, there's the font. I like the little doodle in the O of Triton. If makes it a little girly.  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: Gated

Gated by Amy Christine Parker Okay so I'm not in love with this cover but it did grab my attention right off the bat. Her brilliant blue eye surrounded by such dark muted colors really gets ya, I feel like she's looking right at me. I'm not sure how I feel about the title being repeated over and over, it seems overkill. Love it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know!

Cover of the Day: Man-Made Boy

I really like the font on this-- it's so freaking awesome! It's really my only reason for picking this one-- it'll turn heads like crazy. What are your thoughts? ~Megan

Cover of the Day: Once We Were

Once We Were by  Kat Zhang I love the simplicity of this cover. The title is loud and clear and the color definitely matches. I also love the color of her eye. That's probably the main reason I love this cover. It's like a stormy gray. I'm so jealous. :) So what do you think?

Cover of the Day: The End Games by T. Michel Martin

The End Games by T. Michael Martin       This cover is gorgeous! Well creepily gorgeous, but still gorgeous! Its about zombies, and the outline of them there at the top in the tree branches is really cool. The deep red coloring makes it really scary too. The desolate road and the two boys traveling down it make me wonder where they're going and how they're surviving. Plus, I love Love LOVE the font the title is in. It makes the cover even more creeptastic. (Yes I said creeptastic lol)  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: The Lost

The Lost by Sarah Beth Durst I think this cover is absolutely radiant!  I've always loved watercolor paintings so that's probably why I like this one so much. The bold clean-cut type contrasts beautifully with the "messy" paint quality of the background. PLUS the colors are gorgeous and oh so eye catching! Love it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments!

Cover of The Day: Summerkin

Summerkin by Sarah Prineas I love the middle-grade feel of this book. its colors are vibrant and alive, the water in the bottom is lovely. Also love the girl model and the animation feel of it. This would be a great animation movie if they go on this lead. What are your thoughts? - Soma

Cover of the Day: Three Quarters Dead

It's funny how a cover can take you back to a certain place. I had actually completely forgotten about this one, until I saw the cover by chance. I remember really liking the cover-- actually the only thing I liked. I love the font treatment, and the purple haze that's going on in the background. The girls put off a really creepy vibe too, and I really love the one on the right's peasant dress. The only thing wrong with this is the awkward poses. What do y'all think? ~Megan

Hardcover vs Paperback

Today I'm going to try something new for me! I always do Cover of the Days and Series Spotlights, but I haven't seen a Paperback vs Hardcover done yet! So, here's one to give some variety! And this one not only has a different cover, but a different TITLE too! vs                           Paperback                                                                Hardcover Me personally, I haven't read it yet, but I like certain things about both covers. The paperback looks more grown up for the YA genre. But the hardcover makes it seem like its filled with action and the font is so pretty and in your face like "BOO YAH!" lol  So what do you think?  Love it, like it, or hate it? -Nikki H.

Cover of the Day: Find Me

Find Me by Romily Bernard First can we just talk about how awesomely creepy that tagline is?!?  I absolutely adore this cover. The fusion of typography and image is brilliant!  We get just a hint of the girls face and the illusion that she's disappearing. I also really like how they handled the title, making it white but not putting the two words right next to each other.  Love it? Like it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments!
